The Self-Care Compilation

1. Go outside. Look at the sky. Breathe in, breathe out. Listen to the sound of the earth, feel it’s stability under your feet.

2. Exercise in anyway. Walk, run, yoga, stretch, dance, lift weights. Anything to make your body feel alive.

3. Read a book and get lost in another world. Make it your own immerse yourself into the landscape of the pages.

4. Talk to people. Especially people that exude happiness and positivity.

5. Give someone a hug. Feel their warmth. Nothing surpasses the feeling of a hug from your mum.

6. Be grateful. Write it down, anything and everything that gives you pleasure. A warm bed, the sound of a friend’s laugh, the sight of the leaves on the trees.

7. Have a massage. (Insider tip; Student massages at Institutes/universities are cheap as chips!)

8. Light a candle. Especially one that has your favourite scent.

9. Give yourself a compliment. There are so many special and unique things about you.

10. Give someone else a compliment. This will inevitably make you feel good about yourself.

11. Cook something from scratch with fresh ingredient. Fruit and vegetables are earth’s medicine.

12. Journal to your heart’s content. Focus on the way the pen moves along the paper and the loop of your hand writing.

13. Listen to good music. Appreciate the narrative being spelled out into song.
